Composer's Notes:
William de Warenne, who instigated the building of St Michael's Church, Newhaven, was a norman nobleman who fought with William The Conqueror at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Without him, the church may not have been built, so this is where the story really starts. This track represents the approaching Norman Army, then their charge into battle. You may hear a high-pitched sound towards the end of the track. This represents the arrow that killed King Harold when it hit him in the eye!

The Spitfire Sisters - clever, catchy, retro-tunes with modern day lyrics - perfectly performed by 3 very classy ladies and their accompanying band of expert players. They're fab live too. Go see!. Mike Flood
