about

Why did I put this album together and call it 'Disguises'?
Well, a good question. For a number of years now, I have been the organist/pianist at a local Church. I have also been composing music for a variety of purposes for too many years than I'd care to remember. Whilst playing at the church, I have sneaked in a number of my pieces of music as incidental music before and after services, including weddings and funerals! Some kind people, on some of these occasions, have asked me what I've been playing. Well, this album is a collection of a few of those pieces. To anyone who's heard me play some of this music, it will not have sounded the same as it does on these tracks. This album contains the original arrangements, whereas I will usually have played the pieces on the piano or organ. So, for anyone who has been kind enough to listen to me tinkling the ivories, this collection will appear to contain disguised versions of the music. Actually, though, the disguise is in the way I've been playing them live! Enough of my rambling.....
